h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

We have frequent and excellent contributions from lots of salonistas, but the links to photos quickly become lost in the backlog. I thought it might be useful to put up a photo gallery thread where y'all can post links, a thread we can use for reference in the main conversation.

So I would be very happy to see you post to this thread with bunches of links to your past contributions, and help us further by using the subject header to name your photo collection. I'll give an example in the next post.

Argh - this reminds me that I really need to clean up my photo site - lately I've just been uploading pics helter skelter, giving links to each single pic. What I've neglected to do is to add links to them from the index page...

First however I need to figure out why I can't log on to the ftp servers from my laptop with broadband connection, while I have no trouble at all accessing them with my old stationary PC with Windows 98 and a dial-up modem...
