The Planet Workshop
Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Mar 23, 2005
Posting that haiku yesterday was like pulling a plug - I can't stop composing new ones!
And rather than flooding the Atelier with them, I'll leave them floating in the air around the Chinese elms in the atrium...
Yesterday morning:
Clouded morning sky
White clouds, white light, white ground
Spring is holding back
Yesterday evening:
Sunset setting in
Golden, rosy, purple
Darkness follows soon
3.11 am this morning when a little birdie thought this would be the perfect time for a big concerto outside my bedroom window... *grinds teeth*:
Bright light on the floor
Like a searchlight shining
Full moon in the sky
This morning, with temperature slightly above freezing and sunshine:
Spring is in the air
Teardrops fall from roof top
Shed by melting snow
*wondering how she'll be able to stop herself from writing even more haikus*

*slaps forehead as she realizes that she's been using the wrong format: 5-6-5 instead of 5-7-5*
*hastily collects the floating non-haikus and starts working on rewrites in her journal*

Amy the Ant - High Manzanilla of the Church of the Stuffed Olive Posted Jun 18, 2006
*the wanders in and heads for the console as the lighting gently adjusts itself and the RTT hums back into life*
I was thinking this might be a good place for me to report back on exo-planets - one of the concerns of my new job . Anyone else interested in planets outside the Solar System?

I am!
*reaches into a closet, pulls out a bottle of Professor Tonks's own San Betian seawater, and pours a few glasses*

Oh, didn't I mention it was a good job, SC? Not only exo-planets but also nanotechnology and particle physics and plasma physics and no end of other cool stuff.

Amy , you didn't mention it was *that*
! I am *so* glad you got the job you wanted, particularly working in such great fields!
Nanotechnology, huh? Perfect for an enterprising . And exo-planets, too --
doesn't begin to describe it!!
