I see that this entry refers to ingestion of nasal contents, but omits any of the other more revolting methods of disposal. Too foul to mention the smearing under table tops ?

Yeah, no kidding. There are alot of nasty habits like that. My least favorite is when you have to ride with a different family with little kids and there are UFOs (unidentified flicked objects) on the window.

The worst sort is when there's a rubbish receptacle nearby, yet people inist on getting rid of nasal emitions in dihydrogen monoxide dispencers.

How about the subtley wiping it on a passing stranger?
Unfortunately I've witnessed a child doing this...and yes, I did crack up with laughter...

Let's not forget the pleasure one gets from clearing one's nostrils. There's nothing like taking a breath after a good nose picking in the morning then disposing of the dust trapping monsters and washing your hands afterwards.

I had a teacher, we called him Plug (see Beano comix) who had a delightful method of dealing with inattentive pupils. He would stand there at the blackboard poking around nasally, whilst expounding the joys of algebra etc, then round upon his victim.
And flick the bogie direct: "YOU Boy, what is X = ymca squared?!"
His aim was deadly.
