Oh, Oh!
You gotta have pretty stuff set about and hung up!
Vases of flowers, and crepe paper streamers hung about, and those signs that say "One year old!" and "Happy Birthday!" and rosettes stuck to things, and a festive wreath on the door...or maybe a sign that says "The Party's HERE!" stuck in the lawn.
*think, think*
And what else would make it look pretty?????
*think, think*
I think someone else is bringing the confetti and silly string. But you gotta have sparklies, too.
*think, think*
help, help...I mean, you are only One Year Old ONCE!

Tinsel. Definitely need tinsel. Even though it's not Christmas tinsel still makes the place look good

yup, here it is in this box marked 'party stuff'. Look there's some tissue paper, and some silver paper and all different kinds of paper to make chains with, and glue, too!

OK, I'm gonna put the lawn signs out
*goes outside with large signs "THE PARTY IS HERE" and "H2G2 ONE YEAR OLD!" "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, H2G2!"*
lessee, I could put 'em down the road, Burma-shave style. Or I could line 'em up by the door. Or... hmmmmm....
and do we have enough lawn signs????

Maybe they can put a cmera crew on it too for aerial pictures of this massive event, like they do at concerts and big sports events and the like

hullo, Drewpy!
I just went and looked at your fireworks. They are very nice!
I left you a note about the fireworks we have on the lawn in Damogran every evening.

I didn't know how to put them into a guide page, but am following your thread about java applets in XML right now...
I think your fireworks will be wonderful for the h2g2 Party!

I saw you reply to bruces last point which basically states that you can put the class files on a different server and then point to them using the attribute codebase="HTTP://www.myserver.com/" You can also keep pictures there as well. Have you seen my fish on my page? Hopefully I will be able to get two fish in one bigger tank soon!

hullo drewpy!
I saw your fishie.
Where do you get your java applets? Do you write them all yourself?
I am in awe of people who can write that stuff. Anything much more complicated than html is a challenge for me. Cut and paste, that's my motto.
BTW I have Linux up on a pentium box [redhat 5], but really havent done very much with it. Too busy right now, but maybe later this summer I will get back to it.
