I think the post on Accra was EXTREMELY limited and didn't actually tell you anything about what Accra or Ghana has to offer. Ghana is very much a country suitable for tourists as is Her capital city Accra. Whoever wrote the post obviously didn't do any homework whatsoever. Ghana is a coastal country so there are loads of beaches and Labadi is in fact NOT the best of them there's kokrobite, Ningo, Bojo beach and so many more which are all much cleaner less congested and very nice too. Just a trip from Accra you've got even MORE beaches such as, Funkoe (pronounced foonkoe) Beach, Paradisiac Beach, Busia Beach, White Sands Beach resort and the list goes on and on. There are also places like the Volta Lake the largest man-made lake in the world, Afrikiko river resort, Nzulelu the village on water, Siringu Village, Navrongo Catholic Cathedral, Larabanga Mosque,

In terms of wildlife there is Ankasa Conservation Area, Shai Hills Resource Reserve, Aburi Gardens, Mole National Park, Wechiau Hippopotamus Sanctuary,Atewa-Atwirebu Butterfly Sanctuary, Bobiri Forest Butterfly Sanctuary, the Kintampo Waterfalls, Wli Falls and so many more. There are MANY castles in Ghana not just the one mentioned although I don't remember any of the others off the top of my head. There is also the Gwollu Slave-Trader Defense Wall. Do you still need me to go on or do you want to find out for yourself.

The BBC should really endeavor to portray Africa in a more positive light as if they put up posts like the one I just read they are actually causing harm and not good. How could anyone think Accra is not a suitable tourist destination, With the lighthouse, the Osu Castle, The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, Rufus Green Parks, James Town, the Parliament buildings, The National Library, the Trade Fair Site, The Polo Club, Arts Centre, I have never even tried to tour Accra and I know all these places so if someone researched it they ought to have come up with a whole lot more than they did...
