He rolls this old chestnut out everytime there's an election to make sure the religious-right don't stay at home.

Very true. Gay bashing for political gain is something that is well known in America and they fall for it every time.

They don't so much as fall for it as reach out and embrace it.

I think there's some truth in what you say and it has been said Bush does it to try to preach to the Bible-bashing morons who spend their entire life demonising and harrassing homosexuals.

Religion is on the rise across the world. In Eatsern Europe the EU will temper it's affects on libral values and gay rights but Religion and nationalism and authoritarian government are combining in a way that doesn't look good for any minorities in Russia.

As far as the religious/gay thing goes, I have one very simple thought...

I dont have sex in your church, so keep your religion out my love life!!

Who the hell is he to say who can and cant get married?? Gay people have just as much right to be skint, miserable and hitched as anyone else!
