I'm not really here

I hardly ever get ill. I hate it. I had to give up my one dog-free evening out of the week tonight.

I have, of course, carried on working although have cancelled some jobs. I'm okay walking about with the dogs, but being indoors or in the van is killing me, and tonight I nearly coughed my throat out all over the living room floor. As per instructions, teenacher was ready to dial 999 (he's told if I can't speak to call an ambulance) when I managed to squeeze out 'water' which kept my throat where it belonged but the coughing has continued on and off.

What's annoying is that I can't speak or it starts all over again. smiley - cross

That sounds more like it! I normally only reach for honey and lemon when I have a sore throat but anything to ease this cough.

I'm low tech, hot water in a bowl and a towel!

I've used them in the past and they've had no effect, I might try later on though, smiley - ta

Keep the humidity in the house at high, so put wet, damp towels on the radiators and turn the heating up a tad.

Get well soon! smiley - smiley

This is getting beyond a joke. Wasn't coughing so late last night, but did have about an hour of constant non-stop coughing and had to wake Teenacher up to get me a glass of water. smiley - ill
