waiting for her spuds to cook and wanting to confiscate driving licences of people who can't use roundabouts. Thanks. That'll probably be over £100 for a new indicator.

Although once, when I was very, very tired at the end of a long day, I decided that instead of waiting for a gap at the roundabout I would just creep forward into the moving traffic. It gave people an excellent opportunity to check their horns were working.
I don't drive when I'm that tired now, entirely as a result of that incident. And nothing got damaged. But I still feel I ought to apologise to you
I should cook myself some tea I suppose ...

Blimey, 100 of your english quids for an indicator?
What happened?
You should try roundabouts here, nobody knows how to use them at all and they seem to have become very popular with a lot of junctions (with and without traffic lights) being replaced by roundabouts.

Well, it might not be that much, but I'd been quoted £65 for a tailgate handle this week so I am just assuming!
There's a double mini roundabout in my town, which forces you to use one of the roundabouts incorrectly.
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=wilson%27s+corner&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&hl=en&ie=UTF8&hq=Wilsons+Corner&hnear=Wilsons+Corner,+Ingrave+Rd,+Brentwood+CM15+8AP,+United+Kingdom&ll=51.621314,0.305784&spn=0.000386,0.001321&t=k&z=20
Going 'straight over' from the top of the map to the bottom means taking the first lane for the second exit, which is clearly wrong, but it's how it works because of then manoevering at the second roundabout.
So what happens when me, in my little loaf of bread van, is going straight over is that silly people in their sporty cars don't want to be stuck behind me trundling along and they take the second lane, cutting across the front of me as they take the first exit off the second roundabout from the second lane. Sometimes they manage to get into the first lane before me, if they're quick enough (leaving me spitting feathers normally), but this silly cow wasn't quick enough, and moved over so much, but so slowly she hit me.
I get so angry! Why are people in such a hurry! I had a little dog in the van, luckily he was in the crate on the other side so probably didn't even notice, but I wanted to kill the woman!

Yes she did, gave me a load of rubbish but I do have her details and they are genuine. As she accepted blame I said didn't have to go through insurance unless she wanted to as long as it was just the damage that was obvious (I'll get a bodyshop quote anyway) and she paid for the part. Her dad is apparently 'in the trade' so if he gets it, comes and fits it at a convenient time (to me of course) that's good enough for me. Don't really want the van off the road at a body shop! I don't think there is any dent damage!

There's a two way roundabout in Hemel Hempstead where I grew up.

You can go left or right when you get on, and go round another mini roundabout at every intersection. So one big roundabout, with six small ones on the way round.
It confuses newcomers hugely, but actually works remarkably well!

As regards to busy roundabouts where you have to force your way on. We have one of those in Cardiff. Let them use their horns. So what? Eventually someone has to have the courtesy to actually let traffic on, if not, stuff em.
