h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I can be very busy with work, real proper work, not messing about, and yet still not actually do any of the things that I really should be doing.

So far today I've reorganised my registration forms as they were overflowing their plastic wallet, put up and filled in my new year planner, done a bit of filing and rearranging, yet I haven't rewritten and sent off a behavoural report to a customer from last Saturday, and my presentation for tomorrow is still not quite ready. All that work and it's still only two bloody minutes long. Maybe the other 3 minutes will be for the at the jokes.

I'm contemplating making a document of all the feedback I've had so I can work out what people really like about me and market that.

But NO. I must get those two jobs done. And nothing else.

How long before I can start cooking my Sunday roast?


Things must be bad if I want to start cooking.

Could be worse. I've just discovered I owe £22 in library fines. I thought they were due back last week, and forgot to log on before midnight to do it. In fact they were due back on the 2nd. I didn't think the library was *open* on the 2nd.

Even one of Osh's books has accrued a fine. I didn't think they had library fines for children here, but this one's been reserved by another borrower.

I'm a bad mother, a bad member of society, and I could have spent that money on real books I can keep.

Bad member of society? On the contrary. Lots of libraries depend on those fines.

It is amazing how much random stuff can actually be achieved whilst avoiding doing something specific

It did finally get done. Presentation went down v well, some questions were asked afterwards that I hadn't covered in my research for the presentation but *I knew the answers anyway* so I feel v chuffed with that.

Report finished and sent off, and I can use it in the future as the basis for other reports if we're covering the same issues. The first one of those will be next month I hope, just have to arrange a Saturday I can meet with the client.

And I passed the Intro to Instructors Course I've been attending. Yay! Next step, will be assisting at the New Starters course starting in a fortnight. I have assisted elsewhere before, but that was at agility and I'm not really into agility. I would still be doing it, but it's on a Monday evening and after the dog walking took off I just can't add another 3 hours plus travel onto a day. This one will be weekends, which is why I had to change training schools.
