Yes I think that song was heard beyond endurance when us Aussies won the America's Cup. It'll have a revival eventually I'm sure.
Hercules and Xena are both NZ/US productions - hence the prolific use of Maories in it as bad guys (they can look reeeeeeeeal mean )

Well... for a start... a singular one is a Maori (Have you get the US problem of adding *e*s in the wrong place NM... as in potatoe LOL)
They are the indigenous peoples of NZ... you know... the ones who do a neat line in putting their tongues out and scare all the other International Rugby players to death! They also do a fair amount of nose-rubbing and have some great music.
I should think that Loony would be a good point of reference for a more detailed run-down on their history.
I know that our Prince's Phillip and Charles are rather partial to visiting NZ... probably because the ladies, ermm,don't wear a lot and are very friendly.
