Have to admit I didn't notice cos I've been so busy myself, let me know how you go - best of luck, I'm sure you did just brilliantly.

Well! I got a high 2ii, so they let me onto the four year course! Woohoo! 2 more years of uni! That's what I'd hoped for!

Sarcasm? I don't think my exam performance refelcts my ability, but they don't take that into account when giving you grades, so I guess I'm stuck with a mediocre garde for a while.
I'm back home now. Catching up on sleep slowly...

No sarcasm, they let you onto the 4 year course - you should be very proud of yourself. Well done.
Enjoy catching up on your sleep, as an honours student we start earlier than the undergrads (Feb 2nd) and get no holidays - they are on holidays right now for around 4 weeks (depending on when their last exam fell). I have been putting in heaps of hours, and going in regularly on weekends as well (that's why we get keys I suppose). I'm not getting any results, but they can't complain about the amount of time I'm putting in. I'm knackered.
Make the most of your break mate, it will be over all too soon. Stay well.

I am proud of myself, but don't think it warrants the term freaking genius!
I'm c aught up on sleep now, and am just a bit bored... I have to unpack still, but after that I might get a job, though doing what I don't know... It'll mean filling in forms, which is getting to be my nemesis...
You stay well too! Sounds like you'll be getting less sleep than I will!

Filling in forms - they play that game there too then? Get a what? As a student you are prohibited from using the J word. The correct terminology is "I get a little extra for helping out around the place". Much less offensive on the ears, and makes it sound like if they didn't have you they would be dazed and confused.
Freakin' genius was the correct phrase, don't tamper with my words thank you very much.
In all seriousness, get a job and save as much as you can - then when the shitty times come it will ease your load, eg. when you're tired and you have to study, but you haven't eaten and you can't be stuffed cooking, you can just buy something and get on with your work. This example has become all too regular lately - I've been putting in long hours and coming home only to go to bed without dinner cos I can't be bothered. I would love to be in a position to just pick up something on the way home. Also, yesterday I noticed I have a serious suspension problem on my motorcycle, and I don't know if it will see the year out. It's a 100km round trip every day, and public transport where I am is sparse (a few trains a day), so it's 2.5 hours each way if it comes to that. Things are looking ordinary. Compounding all of that is the monster hours I'm putting in without getting any results to whack into my thesis. Sorry for bitching, but I feel a bit better for it now. Anyhoo, the point is put every cent you can away for a rainy day, cos it never rains it bloody pours.
P.S Unpack Neil. If you live out of a suitcase you never feel quite as rested.
Key: Complain about this post
