I've just come up with a new entry on Songs that get stuck in your head and what to do about it. This is my second entry, about 3-4 weeks after the first one. Gluey Songs, as it is called, are a major problem in the world today, and everyone would be well in knowing some techniques for coping with the problem. If you know of any more ways to adapt, send them to me, and I will be sure to send them back to you with precise directions on where you can shove them. Just kidding! smiley - fish

The only thing more virulent than a whole song stuck in your head is a half song stuck in your head. Every time you finish the part you know, you get a sense of incompletion, so you re do what you just did. The cycle continues...

The best suggestion i have is to find out the rest of the song, and sing it in full.smiley - smiley

yes, i have found that most times that is the only way to get the song out of my head...what is terrible is when for the life of you you cannot find the rest of the song and end up going to all of your friends and asking them if they know it...after awhile they begin to think you are crackers smiley - winkeye
