I have to admit that I never played an honest game of elite because I could never dock that ship. I remember that if you typed in 'sara' when asked for the copy protection word from the manual, I think it gave you enough money to buy the auto-dock thingy.
Without this feature I probably would have not played the game as much as I did. Anyone interested in elite can visit.

Yeah, I only noticed the URL banning afterwards. I seem to have a track record of posting and then reading guidelines but I've read them now .. honest.. 
Even with URL's and things being snipped out, I think I prefer moderated forums as opposed to the nut-houses which aren't moderated.
Anyway, if anyone is interested in finding Elite and Elite related stuff, the company who owns Elite is a UK outfit called Frontier - they have a UK web site.
Take it easy.
