Are you online during your day? Cos I /think/ I could get up early and talk to you... if I tried that then I could be online in your time from about 1pm til 4pm. Only not till after Friday...

You don't *have* to go to all that effort... I'll be on tomorrow during the day, but after that not until next Wednesday, and maybe not even then, unfortunately, last week of semester...but we'll work things out one way or another, in the meantime I might invite a couple of friends over to busy up the place, if you don't mind...

I've been meaning to do that for a while anyway... mum is starting to chuck me off the computer after I've only been using it for half an hour. And when the net's busy, that's hardly any time. But she /can't/ stop me if she's not awake.
The problem with weekdays is that it costs a lot and if I put the phone bill up I get banned from the internet altogether. I can only go on in the evenings and early mornings... and the whole weekend.
But sure, go ahead. See if they can reach the cobwebs in the corner...

I remember what that was like...I went down to house-sit my sisters house over the New Year, and there was no local dial-up number, so I had to pay long distance rates...in the 8 days I was there, I ran up about $350 (about £125) in phone bills... Not to mention normal access charges on top of that... But now I have adsl, permanent connection, no phone charges, no time limits...fantabulous...

I can't believe you ran up that large a bill, Al! Did you have any idea what you were doing at the time, or did your sister call you up screaming?

Hey, I literally stayed up through the small hours of the night to try and keep the bill down...and I had to pay for it myself...

See what an addiction can drive you to? I hope you learned your lesson, and never stay on the internet for too long any more!

No...not at all...in the slightest...in any way... Actually, I haven't been on all night *since* then, so maybe I have improved ever so slightly...

A few months ago I actually stayed online until 5:30am ... the sun was coming up ... I had to keep going back to the battery charger ... I can't for the life of me remember why anymore ...

I was on one night from 2am until 1 in the afternoon after getting home form w**k...now, of course, I don't stay up after 4am...

Oh no ... never!

I'll admit that it was after w**k ... but keep in mind that I had been on the computer 8 hours before that ...

My longest session online, straight, with the occasional move to go to the toilet and bring down some food and drink, was (approx) 16 hours...it was literally all I did for the entire day...

I haven't really kept track ... I just remember that one night, because I was appalled to see the sun coming up!
