Now...seperate your paragraphs!smiley - winkeye

I have read about these things somewhere before..(not in the guide, though). Is this what I remember being referred to as a "River Horse" when I was younger?

Thanks for the suggestion. I thought it looked better without the chunky paragraph breaks, but I'll do it because I'm easily persuaded.

By the way, the term "river horse" (like "mome rath" to the capybara) is a colloquial nickname for the hippopotamus. It is also the name of a beer bottled in the United States. The name is quite appropriate. I have had the beer before and it tastes very close to a licked hippopotamus.

Have you ever seen The Princess Bride? These remind me of the ROUS - Rodents of Unusual Size.

Yes I have! A great film. The mome rath is far more cute and cuddly than an ROUS. That does not mean they are cute and cuddly, just more so. Oh how I wish I could include a photograph.

Perhaps you could raise enough money to go on a photo expedition and bring back pictures of the great beast to post on h2g2 smiley - smiley

Thank you for the suggestion Frink. I requested a grant from my university so that I and a team of specalists (my chums) might go to the rainforest and tease the animals.
ex:
"look a that emperor tamarin (Saguinus imperator) in the tree 'oo look at me, I'm a monkey with a mustache, I'm so stupid that i don't know how to stay off the endangered species list'"

The goal of this expedition, of course, is to tease every major rainforest creature until they cry.

I haven't had a reply.
No vision those university stiffs.
