National Novel Writing Month is a yearly challenge that gets you off your 'but' so you write-Write-WRITE the whole month of November. Then, afterwards, you get a virtual pat on the back, and you have the makings of a novel. All you have to do then is add more, subtract more, fix this, tidy that up, flesh out the characters, ensure each one has a distinctive voice, fill in the plot holes, and trust a handful of Beta Readers to critique your baby. Then it's back to revision, putting on the makeup, fitting it with nice clothes, and sending it out into the World.
