Hi! It's been a while hasn't it?! How have you been over that last few months?

Hello my friend!
Yes, it has been too long. And the last months, I fear, haven't been full of overwhelming activity.
I've mainly been working, although I did go to London's Imperial War Museum a couple of weeks ago. Other than that, it's just been life as always.
So, what have you been doing?

I have been busy but not, if that makes sense!!
It is the same old thing of slaving over Alevels but with the added twist of having done mocks, chosen a uni, fallen in love (if thats possible at my age!) and fallen out of it again cause he is a dick head.
And making holiday plans with my friends for this summer and getting a new job....
That about it really. Still same old me stuck in this horrible little town....
Love Kate

Ah - so I see....
A Level mocks, Uni, Love, Job and Holiday.... All in a few weeks.
Well, I must confess to doing none of that. Yes, I still have the same job as before, I've not planned a holiday, I'm still at Uni and I'm not doing A-Levels.
This weekend I'm up to Stoke to see Sarah - after that I've got to plan exactly what I'm going to do at Easter. One of my friends, Ben, is having an engagement party, I also wish to go home for a few days, and I also need to work to raise money. Lots of choices. Other than that, I'm just living day-to-day.
But living without chocolate , as I gave that up for Lent.

Your far braver than me!! I couldn't give up chocolate, not even for lent!!
It sounds like your having a laugh and getting by etc.
Easter is much too short to fit everything in isn't it?! We get two weeks and I have to fit in a weeks work, a holiday with my family, revision, Claires birthday and whatever else comes up like visiting my Grandma etc.
Have fun in Stoke.

Thanks, I had a good time in Stoke, and finally found a new pair of shoes as the ones I had had about 6 holes in the soles, which wasn't good with all this rain...
And my chocolate strategy of stuffing myself full of so many biscuits, cakes etc so that I have no room left for any chocolate is working perfectly!
Now I plan to spend this weekend on the Island, next week with Sarah (it's our 2 year anniversary) then I have Ben's engagement to go to after Easter, and somehow I have to find the time to do a lot of work!
You can never win.
Let me know how you manage!

2 years?! God, your practicaly married!!!
Your chocolate strategy sounds good, I might give that a try some time.
Your easter sounds like it will be hectic, good luck fitting it all in!! I hope you have a good time.
I cant wiat because I'm going on holiday to Austria on Sunday. I've always wanted to go there, it should be great. We are going to Salzburg.
I have to go to a lesson...

2 years, definately a long time, but as we've always been about 200 miles apart, it's not really like being married yet
And just a week and bit left of non-stop eating cakes.... I mean, of giving up chocolate. It'll be a relief to be able to eat chocolate again - I don't think my stomach could cope with much more!
Tell me all about Austria!

I wont be able to write much for the next couple of weeks cause today is the last day of term. I'll try to when I get the chance though.
You'll probably explode if you have to keep eating cakes much longer!!
I'll tell you all about Austria, and have a great easter holidays (however hectic they might be!!)

Yep, I hope us both have a good relaxing time.
Although I confess I was quite shocked when I went home to discover they opened a Wimpey on Sandown Pier last saturday!

Wimpy's are horrible? Why? I must admit I've no experience of them really - although at the moment I'd prefer anything to McDonalds!
How's Austria, then?

Wimpys are just horrible. The food is crapper than McDonalds but they charge a fortune for it just cause it comes of manky old plates.
Austria was fantastic (Im back now). It a gorgeous country, and Salzburg was just amaizing. I have to go in five minites so I'd better tell you about it another time.
Im going to Thorpe Park tomorrow for my friends 18th, so that should be a laugh. And we might be going to Ryde this weekend too. What have you been up to lately?!
Boo!
Bluebottle Posted Apr 17, 2001
I'll take your word for it - but I must admit that I am curious to see what the one on the pier is like...
This weekend I'm probably up to Reading as it's a friend of mine's engagement party. (he's The Fish on H2G2 ) I spent pretty much all of last weekend on Sandown Pier on the Bumper Cars with a few of my friends, and I also helped my sister move out of our house into her first house in Newport.
Hope you have a great time in Thorpe Park - I've visited there about 6 times now (mainly when I was 4-7) and always found it fun.
Looking forward to learning about Austria!
Matt

Hi, how'd the party go?!
Thorpe Park was cool, they have new rides but two of them where closed already!!! And we got an extra go on the Flying Fish cause the guy saw it was Claires birthday. We went out in Reading that evening, and lets just say the night was eventful and leave it at that!!
I went to Sandown last Saturday while I was in Ryde, they have tryed to do up the pier with paint etc for the new season. It is a bit of an improvement I guess. And the Wimpys isn't as bad as I thought it would be, I was picturing some ugly building built on the end, but it is just the kiosk thing on the front.
I have to go, speak to you soon...

Bluebottle Posted Apr 23, 2001
Ah - looks as if we were both in Reading on Saturday night, although I was at Ben's engagement party and not on the town
But I remember the Flying Fish ride, and the water ones - they're great fun. What were the new rides?
And yes, the Pier's not bad now, I definately think that it hasn't hurt it, I'm just worried that the beach will end up full of burger bags and litter... Hope not.

Have you heard of the playstation ride at Blackpool?! The one that goes strait up and then drops you strait down again? There was one of those at Thorpe Park. And a couple of upside down spinny things, the usual deal. The up and down one (The Detinator) was the only new ride open!!
There was a burger bar in the same place before and the litter didn't seem too bad.
I can't believe I am leaving school in four weeks!! Scary!
Kate.

I hadn't heard of the Playstation ride in Blackpool, no - but then I've yet to visit Blackpool. I imagine that the up & down ride is slightlu bigger than the one on the end of Sandown Pier . Talking of which - are you sure it was a burger thing on the end of the pier? I must confess I never really paid it much attention, but I thought it sold postcards and ice-creams. I'm forever finding lollipop sticks on the beach, but they are used a lot in Sandcastle building, so no-one really minds them.
But yes, leaving School for good is a scary thing. I left 3 years ago, and I still find it scary that I did.
