Any idea how to get smileys to appear as smiley faces in an article? Just typing : - ) (without spaces of course) doesn't seem to work.

To get the image to need to use <IMG SRC="images/f_bigeyes.gif"></IMG>

I managed to get a smiley on my page in a journal entry by only typing . So just when I thought I had it sorted I now think I don't. None of the other faces seem to work ( like 8=) ).

See, I did it again by just typin : - ) without any spaces. In both cases it was typed at the start of a new line but surely that can't be the reason. Let me try again.

I think your picture already has to be on a web page and that site I told you about should tell you how to create a link to that picture.

Have a look at 'Club H2G2 FAQ' page, as it will help. Better still, leave a posting so it gets onto the front page list.
