I think you'll find that www.h2g2.com/images/f_bozo.gif file doesn't actually exist!

I hate to tell you this but it seems we all have different problems with HTML - I can't do some of the things others can do - maybe you should ask the powers that be or Benjymous is usually very helpful!

I wonder if anyone has come up against this annoying little habit.
I have figured out how to format my entries fine (I was a bit slow on the uptake when it came to realising I had to use html - DOH!!). BUT...if I try to edit something I did say a few hours ago, all my lovely html has vanished and I'm just left with the test. So in order to get the formatting I have to enter all the html codes again. I'm getting really fed up with it, especially when I'm trying to link to other pages and the URL disappears!
ANy help?

Not had that problem myself althoug I have had it where I put in HTML codes and the whole text disappears! It takes ages to get it back as well!

I've had a problem a bit like that. I had created a posting which included HTML tags (showing the corrected HTML tags to use to create smileys in user pages). I decided to do a preview to test it before posting.
When I did this the preview looked fine but text box below was empty. All the text from the box had moved to underneath the box and the HTML had been interpreted by the browser and displayed as images. The only way I found of avoiding this was to copy the text to the clipboard before previewing and then, after previewing the posting, pasting the text back into the box before posting.

ok
you've all lost me
Is there a book/website/cd-rom that will just show me how to do anything without taking weeks?
