No mention of the Illuminati? Maybe the author or the editors are in with them and deliberately edited them out?

Watch out for the following hints that the societies are after you:
1)horses head in your bed
2)pigs intestines smeared over your naked body
3)your pets simmering gently over a low heat (gas mark 2)
4)your bed partner being a Cod
(sleeping with the fishes just in case you missed it!)
5)waking up with your tongue mysteriously cut out
6)waking up dead

Oh, and Mu.
Check out the article on Discordianism somewhere else on this site; one of our very own researchers (ffmike) is a big time Discordian by the name of Ukelele the Short.

Probably because the Illuminati don't actually exist, they're just made up. That is, they first appear in "The Illuminati Trilogy" by someone who's name I forget, but he's definitely an author. Or was. I remember reading somewhere how amused he was/is about the fact that people take the series seriously.

His name is Robert Anton Wilson. The truly funny thing is that there was a group called the Illuminati in Europe for most of the 19th century. They were the movers and shakers, for the most part, and spread rumors about themselves being sorcerors as well. And if you can't believe upper societal, egotistical men, who can you believe?

Keeping it PC, but sexist just the same - question: is it usually men who enjoy secret societal membership? Women like sharing, men don't. Discuss.
