Very good entry.

One comment which is both itsy and bitsy:

"If you vary the frequency of the light for a given intensity, the kinetic energy of the emitted electrons increases."

Shouldn't this be "if you increase the frequency of the light"?

Or possibly leave this bit and change the end to "energy of the emitted electrons varies."

Small comment. Good entry. I'll go and read about BBR!

Another comment - could you add something which clarifies that red light has a low frequency, as not everone knows this, and it will make the answer to the red light question more clear.

(Perhaps I should be a Sub!!)

Yup. smiley - smiley

One thing I would suggest is that you footnote the words "work function" opposed to the w, so nobody wonders if the w in the equation should be w cubed. (Or am I going a bit far?)

Feel free to ignore this.

Hadn't thought of that...
Do you feel like casting an eye over any of my other entries? You're good at this!

Are you sure you want me to?

I think I am pretty good at it, as I have to do quite a lot of writing for my work, but I don't know how I would feel if someone else decided to criticise my stuff, even if it was constructive criticism.

I'd probably get all pouty for a bit, before making the changes, all the while trying to pretend they were my idea really.

But that's me.

If you'd really like me to, I will.

Tell me if you do.

If so, please choose from the following levels of cricisim:

1) Namby pamby powderpuff
2) Straight talking, but with all due respect for the authors feelings
3) Almost Yorkshire-like in bluntness
4) Duke of Edinburgh
5) Gengis Khan

I'm sure we could arrange a suitable donut shaped payment for my time!

Oh that goes without saying, though if we go with 5 I do have the right to slaughter all of your cattle if you don't comply with my recommendations.
Shall we say 3 then?

That would be great.
Although I seem to have come over in snippets of foreign languages, which is disturbing...

Lekker!
That's my one word of Dutch.
It means 'delicious', apparently.
OK. I'll take a gander at them and send you as many comments as I can get together, on the basis that:

1) you can ignore any of them
2) you can tell me to stop if it all gets too much
3) if we ever meet at a researcher get-together, you don't hit me.

Yah?
