Nice article, with one flaw that I spotted: You mentioned that Planck's constant was devised to explain the ultraviolet catastrophe, without defining said catastrophe.
For a moment I felt a guide article coming on, but then I realised that although I can vaguely remember what it is, I can't remember how Planck explained it using his constant. (I've also got a degree in physics, but a poncey southern one from Imperial College.)

It was in my quantum mechanics course...
