Frozen petrol caps...I've never had that, but I have ridden through frozen fog to arrive at work covered in ice -there aren't many ways to induce greater pain in your hands (nowadays I will buy heated hand-grips before replacing bald tyres -not good in actual snow, but what the hell)
A good thing to know is that wind-chill apparently reaches maximum severity at about 40 miles per hour, so if you're hypothermic, you can be confidant in knowing that full-bore is best.
Clapped-out motors are less likely to blow in the cold (less heat build-up), so full throttle is great in sub-zero whether.
