Ok, here goes. I wake up this morning and look out of my window and see that its bloody snowing outside. Whats up with this. And currently I sit here in English wondering when the hell their going to let us out. It's either going to be that or we'll be stranded here, which would really stink because I have to work today.

Engels:
You live a quarter mile away from the school. Like you can get stranded there. You live a half mile from your work, as if you won't be able to get there. Snow is a natural part of living where we live. It's March, and we've gotten (accumulating) snow well into April. These are the benefits and detractions of living in the north, dirrectly south of a large body of water. We get snow. Snow stays a while, sticks to the ground. Melts later. Schools don't let students out if it's snowing around here, especially when it's this light.

Hah!! Good response to that one. Just because I live in the North doesn't necessarily mean that I have to enjoy it. I mean the snow is fun and all but I really liked the relatively warm spurt that we just went thru. It meant that I could actually stay outside and use my telescope without the risk of losing several appendeges.
Although who knows, that might actually be interesting. Hey, I've got an idea, why don't we stick that unrealiable bastard of a roomate of yours out in the snow to freeze while we drink hot choclate in a shop with a large window.

Good idea, but he was reading over my shoulder while I was reading your post. Tea would be much more evil. Like saying: 'We could drink any warm beverage, be it hot chocolate, coffee, or warm milk, but since we hate you so much, we chose tea. We don't know why.'
Al really liked what I wrote.

Do you want some cheese for that wine Gimpage? You should know by now that LeRoy never cancels school. Then again... I have a feeling that they may be a little more leanient about cancellations from now on, seeing as how last time their was a lot of snow, a bus got in an accident, and a kid got hurt. Isn't it a bloody shame that the snow last night didn't come tonight? ahhh well.... talk to ya later gimpage....

I agree with the whole snow thing. A major gripe for probably all schools is that they never close. Closing has something to do with where the superintendent lives. If the super. lives close to the school, like in Oakfield-Alabama CS, the school will never close. If the super lives say, in the suburbs and the school that that super is employed at is several un-plowed miles away, the school will close.
BOCES used to have something to do with school closings, not so much now that everyone's regents. Used to be if BOCES closed, the county would close. No more. Pity, since I don't think that everyone in *any* school is completely equal accademicaly. Some people need vocational education to get a decent job. We can't all be rocket scientists.
There I go, completely off subject. I liked the snow last night. Gave me a chance to do some bootlegger and J turns at Hartwood Park. Fun.
