Updated to include the recent Cyberman stories.
I've added two sentences early in the text:
'The cloth-faced Cybermen were all-but wiped out when Mondas was destroyed, although at least one colony ship escaped, only to be trapped by a Black Hole.'
'In recent years, Cybermen have developed the ability to fly, using what appear to be jets built into their legs.'
