smiley - laugh Even by Lawro's standards, that is a truly dreadful piece of writing!

But what's 'spooting'? And, more importantly, what happened to you in Fantasy Football this week? Don't say you've thrown in the smiley - towel already!

Ah yes, Mark Lawrenson football expert. I can see this thread quickly descending into 'how much better is MOTD2 than its Saturday counterpart' territory.

Well, that just shows a lack of concentration early doors, MB. You'll have to set your stall out, give 110% and take your chances. It's a tough league, very competitive at this level, and your errors will get punished at the end of the day. smiley - winkeye

It's a game of two halves, Ormy, and although the boys are looking a bit down-at-heart, I'd expect them to go out in the second half and play out of their boots. Form counts for nothing in this competition, the eyes of the world's media are upon us, and when whistles start blowing up and down the country, I'll tell you what, I'd bloody love it if I beat you at the end of the season. LOVE IT!

May I ask a question?

Does anyone use the phrase 'back to winning ways' in normal conversation?

One of the things I try to do on the radio is talk to people on their own language without resorting to radio-sport-speak - and I'm sure I've never heard anyone down the pub saying "Blimey Dave, I hope Spurs can get back to winning ways on Saturday..."

So I usually start shouting at the radio in frustration every time I hear some presenter or reporter using the phrase. But maybe I'm wrong and people really do use it in real life. Guys - what d'you reckon?
