World Cup nearly over.

SO, witht the world cup nearly over I can start concentrating on football matters that are really important:

*Everton Reserves have moved back to Widnes, so I can catch the bus for ten minutes and see the future.

*Cowdenbeath have a kit deal with Nike, which I have a hunch may involve the Blue Brazil wearing the away kit of the yellow one.

*Lancaster City have a new chairman, new manager, new kit, new sponsor, and most importantly have re-signed fan favourite Ryan-Zico Black from Kettering (he's been gone a whole eight months).

This is the stuff I'm really bothered about. Oh, and I hope France win the world cup as it would be a nice farewell for great players like Zidane, Vieira, Makelele and Thuram to the bigest stage.

The Nitpicker

Going to the first pre-season friendly next Saturday - Barnet who we play first every season to give them an extra-specially big pay day to thank them for letting our reserves play there.

Followed the Saturday after by my first visit to our new stadium for DB10's testimonial - I think we are going to have to wait for quite a while to see a player of his calibre again although Mr Fabregas is certainly a remarkable talent!

Don't think I like the new shirt (but then I don't usually like the new shirt before January - but I reserve judgement until I have actually SEEN one.

Oh and I want France to win tonight because I want Thierry to get the medal he was denied last last (the one that he wins by actually playing in the final final match).

BTW I don't think that Pat will retire at the end of this tournament, he is only 30 after all and I think he will try to play on until South Africa in 2010. IF he could play even 20 matches a season like he has been playing in Germany I think Mr Wenger should try to get him to come "home" when Juve implodes early next week smiley - winkeye

McKay The Disorganised

I'm really miffed - out first two home games have been re-arranged for Sky, which means I'll miss one completely and will miss the kick-off at the other.

smiley - grr

Football = Saturday. It's not even as if The Championship is getting much money off Sky. smiley - steam

smiley - cider
