VSC: A dip into the conference

A friend of mine is a Kidderminster Harriers fan, and a group of us went to see their away game at Altringham on the 2nd as a sort of bank holiday trip. Altringham won 3-0 thanks largely to some dodgy keeping, although Kidderminster were the marginally the better side for most of the game. Interesting to see a female referee, who I thought had a reasonable game overall.
It's been too long since I went to watch non-league football. It was a good game with a decent atmosphere, and I should go more often. My personal highlight was Altringham supporters singing "You used to be a big club!"

I suppose your friend was really happy about Harriers' recent win over my Bradford boys in the LDV Vans Trophy? Still,
to those who stick with small clubs. I enjoy my occasional trips to watch Guiseley playing in the Unibond - there's usually a nice, good humoured atmosphere at non-league matches. My respect for one of my Uni lecturers soared when he revealed that he was a Halifax Town season ticket holder.

We're suddenly inundated with Nuneaton Borough supporters in these parts - much to the disgust of my season ticket holding friend - fortunately Coventry got stuck with Brighton in the cup - so its not going to affect our gate.
Normally Nuneaton play away if Cov are at home.

Well, she did mention that that the Harriers had beaten some league teams in the "Reliant Robin Cup" this season.....

just curious, and relating to other conversations we've had, does one pay to watch these matches, and if so how much?

£10 to stand on the terraces at Altringham. That's quite a lot, really, but a lot of conference teams are now full time AFAIK.

10 quid! that's 14€ in real money! almost the same as for OL!

So you went there, you paid your £10, you watched the match - and you still never noticed that you were actually in AltrinCham?
