My father and I really are fascinated by the continued interest in my uncle's (John Kriegshauser)plane crash. I had the oppurtunity to visit Mr. Harvey in Sheffield and view the crash site and the memorial. We still treasure his book and the BBC film.

I never guessed that a relative would read this piece.
I hope you feel that it does your uncle's memory justice.
He's an enduring symbol of heroism and friendship in this city.

The annual memorial service at St. Augustine's church at nearby Brocco Bank in Sheffield on Sunday 26th of February will include a large display of related items to the crash. They will include 10 correctly badged original WW II dress uniforms (one for each member of Mi Amigo's crew)and items of typical personal and combat equipment of the 8th Army Air Force of early 1944.
