When I click "Online" on my name, why does a list of conversations come up and not the lovely page I've created?

If you're using the default skin (Brunel), then it displays the personal space to its owner with the conversations at the top. Scroll down to see the rest of your page. Other people looking at your page see your introduction first.

It's probably worth having a look at the various skin options in <./>/dna/h2g2/plain/UserDetails</.> just in case you find you prefer another one and to check that your page looks the way you think it should in all skins, ie for other people.

Took me almost a year to figure that out...

I'm glad it's not just me then. My ignorance would fill a book.
Isn't it nice there are these helpful people about?

Oh, yeah!

But I had a little problem.
Sometimes things just have to sink in.
I knew what they were saying, but it took me awhile
to figure out what it meant in my world.
Now that I've learned a few of those
things, I have to keep in mind how
it felt to be new and naive.
Otherwise, I can't communicate too well,
because I've learned the catchphrases and terms,
but I can't always translate them.

Hi Cheeryflybynight.There are people out there that think the little eyes can see you. (worrying ),and that they indicate that the person eyes on that page mean they are reading that page at the same time as you (which they maybe),but i've seen people get resentful if people don't see a response to their posting immediately as:"and don't say you didn't read it i saw your eyes on.
So keep and don't be afraid to ask for help as someone round here usually knows,or can find out
