Why don't you post the sentence here? I'm sure there are folks out there who could translate it for you.
Alternatively, you could try this site: http://www.humanitas-international.org/newstran/more-trans.htm ... although the translations aren't all *that* accurate!

okay.
I was watching an episode of "Yes, Minister" to make up for it's shameful dismissal from the Beeb's best sitcom programe the other day, when this cropped up:
The PM's Motto has always been: "In defeat, malice; in victory, revenge."
and I was just wondering if there was anywhere that I could pop that into and get a rough motto out of. but Babel fish and the like haven't been much help. - I'll check out that link you gave me though!
Clive.

No, that gives defeat the wrong sense.

I suppose where a human should do a lot better than a simple translation program would be in trying to get the thing to flow well (rhyme, rhythm, alliteration etc).

If alliteration's your thing, there's 'ab lacuna livor, ab victoria vindicta', whereas if you want the kind of Latin that's more or less understandable without having studied the language, it can be reworked thus: 'ex ruina malignitas, ex victoria vindicta"
