A Conversation for How do I...?

How do I get into the Glastonbury Festival this year? I've been for the last 10 years, and was looking forward to going again but the tickets sold out too quickly. Any suggestions of alternative festivals that are child-friendly would be useful too

i wouldn't try getting into glastonbury this year, specially not with kids, security is going to be very tight
if you're lucky you might find tickets on e-bay, but the price is likely to be a lot higher...
two festivals i've heard of, and my friend has been to, are womad and cropready, both of which i think are pretty child friendly...being smaller, you won't get the big name bands there, but if that's not so important they might be good...
there are also the bigger ones, like vfestival (where i'm going ) and reading, but a) these aren't so suitable for children, and b) they're also sold out
hope i was some help...

Try http://www.scarletmist.com for face value glastonbury tickets - although a lot of it is down to checking at the right time and some luck.
If you do get a ticket there is going to be a mini meet of h2g2ers and you are more than welcome to come along
Good Luck

Thanks. Wouldn't consider paying over the odds on e-bay. I thought the enhanced security @ Glastonbury last year made it the safest for kids yet. Womad's a bit too middle class for me, we enjoy the alternative stuff.
Have fun at V. Perhaps we're getting too old for all this( lamenting the days when there were free festivals, although I was too young to go)
