How do I post a link to another conversation?

Copy and paste this bit:
F16034?thread=397255
from the address bar in your browser.
For specific page you need more of it:
F16034?thread=397255&skip=21160&show=20
Ba-da-bing.

Not yet, I think that comes in week 3 of the 'Deify yourself!' course. I'm only on week two at the minute. You should what I can do with a fish-finger!

Frozen. I've never seen a fresh fish finger but, then, I've never seen a juggling gerbil either, and I'm sure *those* exist.
You know what? I'm going to go and buy some fishfingers! I feel a sandwhich coming on...

"Are you omnipresent?"
It'll be a nasty shock to lots of young men in Central London if he is.

Not a pleasant surprise?
I now have fish-fingers and a new block of cheese. Anti-health food a-gogo.

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Apr 4, 2006

In reply to post 2:
And if you want to point to a particular post you need the post number - F30859?thread=2644099#p30447431
I usually get that by goint to the previous or the next post and clicking on the previous or next post buttons - if one of the links takes you to the post you want to link to you you copy and paste everything after the F (for Forum), then preview your own post to make sure you've got the right posting.
There's also a way of displaying a set number of posts from a conversation but I'm not sure how that works.

Posting number 2 of this conversation will show you how that works, BH.

That only shows you how to skip to a certain page of posts Gnomon. There's a way of showing a given (say, five) number of postings from a conversation - from posts 117 to 121, for instance, and none of the rest of the convo.

The observant will notice that should've said 116 at the end, not 16.
