New teeth, that's weird... So, where was I? Oh that's right...

The lovely Vicky.

At the risk of sounding like a teenager I asked her if she wanted to go out with me.
She said yes.
This was Valentine's Day, a Wednesday & therefore her last day of the week... Dammit!!

Monday she came in and I asked her out to lunch (and hoped the rumour about what 'lunch' entails wasn't too widespread).
She said yes, again.

We wandered over to a hostelry with comfy sofas & discreet lighting and had a polite chat & a drink.
Afterward I e-mailed her, thanking her for a delightful time and expressed my regret at not kissing her, fearing a smiting.
Also asked what she was doing Tuesday lunchtime.

Tuesday, on the way back to the car, hazarded a tentative kiss, then another, which went down well & I didn't get punched, which was a bonus. Thanked her again for the lovely time & the lack of a decking.
She asked if that meant I would be kissing her again. I said it might, and asked if she was cool with that.
She said yes. Again.

Wednesday lunchtime represented another escalation. Proper kissings, not quite snogging but certainly prolonged. And no violence...

Now, Miss V works part-time & generally doesn't do Thursday & Friday. Sometimes, she'll do a Friday morning to make up some hours & indicated on this particular Wednesday that she was doing so. I asked her if she wanted to go to lunch.
She said, as before, yes.

My colleague Adam, the Boy Wonder, had a brainwave.
"Dude," he said, "why don't you take Friday afternoon off?"
He's a star, that lad!

So Friday lunchtime rolls around and with the rest of the day to ourselves I ask Miss V what she fancies doing. She says she doesn't mind really.

I hesitantly suggested, "We could, I don't know, go back to...my...place...?"
She said yes.


This week has been even better. We do seem to be very much into each other, we've known each other for months and have always been very fond of each other. Okay, so we've gone beyond that a little, but there is still so much to find out about, so much to look forward to. We're supposed to be taking it slow & steady. Courting, so to speak.

She hasn't spent the night yet.
I wonder what her answer would be if I asked...

Yes, she is. She also has twin daughters who now know about me.

The weekend was ... well, informative! I know where my head's at with this, all uncertainties dispelled.
