One of the most entertaining bands I have ever seen is a small 'beat combo' calling themselves "Tony Penultimate and The Ukulele Kings". The band consisted of two electric ukuleles, bass and drums. They played rock / pop covers to delirious effect: Pulp, Nirvana, Spice Girls (!), Prodigy (Firestarter!). If you're in London and you get the chance, I thoroughly recommend you see them - where else would you be able to experience Kula Shaker played on the electric slide ukulele?
