One thing: The black 'parcel tape' is, in fact, Gaffa tape (once used, many moons ago, to silence a certain Martin Morris) - this is the true holy grail of students, as it has never been used thus far..

Actually, you can cut sellotape with teeth, it just depends how sharp they are. I like to keep mine nice and pointy by chewing on breeze blocks.

Double sided sellotape IS NOT also known as sticky back plastic. Sticky back plastic was made famous by the UK kid's TV programme "Blue Peter". This was not allowed to advertise products and since cellotape (i.e cellophane tape) sounds like sellotape (the brand), they therefore called it sticky back plastic, although this also encompasses any coloured plastic with an adhesive back according to my mate Simon. Double sided sticky tape is called stupid-stick-to-everything-but-what-you-want-it-to-tape. Maybe I shouldn't argue the point so much. . .

er - actually, you've made a very good point there. not about what "sticky-back plastic" is (although i'm sure you're right), but about the fact that blue peter weren't allowed to advertise......

This is from season 1, episode 3 (or 2 depending on whether you group "Welcome to the Hellmouth" and "The Harvest" as one episode or two), "The Witch". This shows just how sad I am but I really don't care I love the show. Can do the same thing with Friends BTW!
