I find placing it on a hot radiator is the best way.
Direct sunlight may also warp some items, particularly wood.
Alternatively a good dousing with water, and drying with a hair-dryer works. smiley - ok

However if you meant wrap, then I find those bags from a certain Stationers good. Otherwise stick the item in a box and wrap accordingly. This has the added advantage of confusing the recipient.

Dr E Vibenstein (You know it is, it really is.)

I solve that particular problem by simply not buying circular items as presents.

*wonders if a smiley would be a good idea*

Depends if you mean circular as in cylindrical (in which case it's not too difficult - make a tube of wrapping paper, and fold in the ends) or circular as in spherical (in which case, put it in a box!)

Using a rasp or cleaver remove all of the curved bits until you have a box shaped object. then wrap in the normal way.

Alternatively get a festive bag and place item in it. Wind a lovely ribbon around the neck of the bag and place under a Christmas tree.
