A Conversation for What to buy the Person who has Everything
What to get the perosn who really does have Everything..

What I do is learn something clever (in my case, woodturning) and make something personally. Takes more time than normal, but it is unique and has great sentimental value.
Either that, or give them Nothing. I mean, if they have everything then they haven't got Nothing, have they?

Buy them Beatles stuff - and if they already have it all, give it to me.

If they have everything, doesn't that include nothing?

Hang on, hang on, hang on... if you had everything, what would you put it in?

Safeways carrier bags hold everything.

Good point....
A good thing to give someone who has everything is shelves to put everything on.

But if you had everything, you'd already have loads of Safeways carrier bags, so what would you put them in?
I'm sorry, I'll shut up.

Speaking of giving them nothing, there's a store somewhere (I think it might be BHS) selling "Genuine canned 20th Century air"... a lasting memento of the final days of the 20th century. Of course, cynics will laugh and sneer and say it's just an empty can, but we know better...

I think we're all approaching this from the wrong angle. We all know it's better to give than to receive, so why not let the person with everything give you something, instead of making them feel guilty about receiving more stuff?

Ya know, when you get right down to it, how mane people have shaven hamseters named "Mimzy?" Or better yet, a bronzed shaven hamster named Mimzy?

Just buy them something like…oh I don't know…a Calvin and Hobbes 10nth Anniversary book and autograph it with your own name. They may have famous people's autograph's, but do they have yours on a completely random gift?

I think that books and concert tickets are always good presents, and for example I am getting someone (my mother) SNOW CRYSTALS, a book that is entirely pictures of snowflakes, over 2000 photos. I have nothing more to say except: yea for Calvin and Hobbes!

A book full of pictures of snow flakes?
Pictures or photographs? I like the sound of that. Perhaps the better ones blown up in size and mounted as wall hangings, to give a cool, peacful feel to a room.
Yeah for C&H
