Nebody know what the little eyes next to someones nickname in a conversation means?

It means they're online.

... or that they were online last time the status was checked and recorded. However, "online" for this purpose means accessing pages. So people can be technically logged in but have no eyes shown next to their name if they haven't been doing anything much.
