This is not a BBC problem.
Telewest have decided to remove the DNA websites from their list of accessible sites and so users can no longer access them from their DigiBoxes. They are of course welcome to use a PC to access the site or any other form of internet connection that supports the DNA communities.
I repeat, there is absolutely nothing anyone here can do about reinstating digibox access to sites that are now not on the list of sites that telewest allows.
Hope this makes things a little clearer.

There is no current BBC-implemented 'ban' on digiboxes.
There is a petition page about this (but I can't remember where to find it); the 'ban' would have been implemented by Telewest as part of their general system which provides contents to the digibox systems.
As I understand it the digibox wasn't designed to be like a WebTV system, but to instead deliver content-rich pages, which just happened to be implemented using bits of the internet.
