On my main site, I have several links and banners to sites that are here on the guide. What I'm trying to say is, "WHERE ARE THEY!?" They're no longer there! AAAARRRGGHHH!!!!! Thanks for your time!

Hmm... do you mean the h2g2 logos that link to h2g2, or pictures on your user space? If it's the former, try editing the HTML to change the picture address - www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/... instead of www.h2g2.com/...
If it's the latter, pictures are no longer allowed on the site

Yeah ... the "no pictures" clause is going to be ten times worse to get used to than the "no spitting" rule was. I have even been stripped of my guardian angle ...er... angel ... badge! *spit* *spit* *spit*

Whoever organises the Guardian Angels, Muses, etc., should be able to convince h2g2 towers to host the badges, meaning you'll be able to put them on your pages again.

I think there is. I have read that the unlimited use of graphics on user pages is not only a copyright problem, but also a problem of storage space and "bandwidth theft", whatever that may mean.

It should be no problem to host the Guardian Angels' or the Musician's Guild's badges on the BBC servers, it just needs some convincing.

By links no longer there I'd guess you meean links to entries that show up as 'awaiting moderation' - these will be reactivated either by the owner or moderators then they will be as before

Ah, what a little uprisal I started. I worked for hours on my logo for "The House of the Rising Sun" (A437203). And what use is it now? The people who now run this site is holding at a secret base in the Nevada desert. I call this base "Area 37 and 1/8". It has come to my attention that there are sick testings going on in this S&M Lollapalooza. How else do you explain my sudden reoccurence of horrid acne? They have stripped us of our multiple badges, defamated our banners, restricted our vocabulary, and told us not to spit! We must fight the oppressers!!!! Thank you, and God bless!

alternatively, ask them nicely if they'll host your logos onsite

It's a wonderous show on HBO that is a type of "talk show". It centers around a profane man with an enormous IQ who rants about whatever is wrong with the world. Hello, everyone. I am new here, I just joined. There seems to be some trouble around here. Well, I also want to know something about pictures. Is there no way at all that I can add my own pictures to my introduction on my userpage? I would like to know, because I would like to make it personal, not use standard stuff, and I have pictures, good ones. Is there any problem if I add a link in my introduction to another site where the picture is hosted? But that's not the same as having the picture display first time when a person clicks onto my space. What's this about bandwidth theft? Lots of other sites allow links to pictures hosted on other servers. And I don't want unlimited use of graphics, just one or two nice pictures.

There is no way to put your own pictures on your user page at the moment; we used to be able to which is why everyone's up in arms about it . There are vague plans for h2g2 to host our pictures in the future, and they'll host a few at the moment if you ask them nicely, but generally h2g2 club logos and stuff.

It's because it's hard for them to check the copyright on pictures we put up... and the BBC is paranoid about it all.

It's fine to put a link on your user space to an external site... but they don't allow them in conversations.

What kind of pictures are they?
