Yeah interesting. My girlfriend, who I have been with since I was 16 (I'm now 23) would never admit to masturbating in the past. In fact she swears blind she did not masturbate till she was nineteen. (not sure how true that is) I think she used to find the idea of it dirty and I think women are conditioned that way which is obviously wrong, why should men have all the fun? She now enjoys masturbation as should we all. It is strange though.

that's true...when i was younger, it was just never talked about. there were always giggles that little boys did something with THEIR special parts, but i never really understood what i was supposed to do with mine....it always seemed as if it was "naughty," and naughty girls didn't do that kind of thing.

i remember as young as 12, when i still wasn't quite sure what i was doing, that i would rub up against things, like my stuffed animal or my blankets, and that it felt really good, but although it was never discussed, i had a sense that i was supposed to keep that to myself at all cost.

Now back on to the subject. There are things people do that society dont think is aceptable but they make you happy then teh anser os simple who wants to be part of a boring society. I don't think that there's anything particularly wrong with the other 40%. Personally I rarely get anything out of it (maybe I'm doing something wrong?) and end up just as frustrated as before but out of breath as well. Sex is extremely enjoyable, to be partaken of as often as possible, but I find masturbation a bit like trying to tickle yourself; it's just not the same. Saying that, previous boyfriends find it very enjoyable to watch, and I find this is true vice versa! Men seem to find it much easier to complete the exercise, if this were more the case for women, I'm sure my short sightedness would deteriorate further!

As a man, let me answer that question. If the female population started en masse to talk openly about their masturbatory habits, that would get the men going even more, and before we knew it we'd be drowning in our own viscous emissions.

Well I think it has to be said that if enough men out there were educated on how to find the right spot (that would be the clitorus for all you undereducated boys out there) then women wouldn't be forced into a life of masturbation. There are a few guys out there who know what they are doing but most need a little education.

I believe that it is the responsibility of us females to educate each man we get our hands on. The more we educate the better the average male becomes at giving us orgasms.

So come on girls, show those boys where its at!!!!!

I've found that most of my girlfriends have been remarkably reluctant to provide such constructive criticism. (And I have asked.) And whilst trial and error in combination with sensitivity and awareness are essential (not to mention fun ), I'm sure specific suggestions would have helped me learn a lot faster. (And doubtless still would.)

So why the reticence? Of course there's a right way and a wrong way to ask - it would be easy enough to destroy the moment with an insensitively timed request, so perhaps that's the problem... Maybe we need to be taught how to ask for education as well as to be educated.

I've explained, even demonstrated, at length as to the position of the clitoris, but he still manages to miss somehow... so no orgasms, but it's still rather fun.

An orgasm would be nice though.
