How long has H2g2 been up and running, or to put it differently, how long have I been missing out on h2g2?

Yeah, especially the last couple of months there's been a lot of media coverage, resulting in a great influx of newbies. 
The only problem with it is that there are quite often too many newbies for the ACE's to get round to greet.
