Hi there,
You have a couple of people on your friends list.
Anybody that posts a message onto their space, the same message will appear on yours, as will your friends journal entries. By having them on your friends list you are 'subscribed' to their page. You can stop this happening by visiting their page and using the 'stop being notified of further conversations' option.
It is worth checking that you haven't accidently subscribed to a page such as the <./>askh2g2</.> forum
I guess you have delete the messages from your page already so i can't track down where they originate from, but those are the usual reasons for strange messages appearing on spaces.
I hope this helps, if you are still worried then next time it happens then leave the messages on your space and let us know and we will come and have a look at them

That's not quite accurate, Mort. You don't automatically get messages which people post to your friends just by having added their accounts to your friends list. You just get their journal entries that way. You have to go to some extra trouble to capture their message space too.
The askh2g2 subscription is quite likely though since there are a couple of messages from there on The Randomizer's conversation list. Normally I'd say people should get the practice of going back to <./>askh2g2</.> and looking for the "stop receiving conversations" link at the bottom of the page for themselves. However, this link will unsubscribe any impatient people from askh2g2: FSB19585?cmd=unsubscribeforum

Oops - I'm so tired/fed-up I forgot to preview. I'll try that again with link markers: <./>FSB19585?cmd=unsubscribeforum</.>

Mind you, if they can easily subscribe to a page like ask h2g2 it is just as easy for them to subscribe to a friends page.
Anyway, we will see if he gets back to us.

It's not quite as easy to subscribe to a PS page with the new re-direction of A-number to U-number (or it shouldn't be!).

Yes, it is. Since the Message Centre (the public one on hootoo) is the article's forum, all you do is on the userpage scroll down and click on the link in the message centre section. It reads "Click here to be notified of new Conversations about this Guide Entry" on my space in Classic Goo.

OK I can see that someone might get all the way down there on a PS and click on the wrong link instead of on the "Add To Friends" one at the top. It would still take a certain amount of perverseness to do it by accident whereas before someone coming across an A-number which happened to be a U-number might have thought it was the right thing to do.
