Hey all you wonderful ACE types!!!

Some of you may well remember the Young Researchers' Club. It didn't do much but was a good idea and some ACE's used to refer newbie kids to it.

Well I recently took over editing rights for the page and have given it a complete make-over. Hopefully it is now more useful, more accessible, and not just a long list of people who want to join but then have nothing to do.

So I invite you all to take a look and include it as a link for kids if you wish.

I know you mean well, but I don't think setting yourself up as an angony aunt is really a read idea. Maybe you could consider including details for contacting official organisation such as childline, I know there are other young people focused organisations, but I can't think of them offhand.

Oh and, near the begininng you have 'est' I assume that should be 'best'

Whoops! Looks like I've been a bit misleading in my writing there doesn't it? I'll fiddle all of that around some because I'm DEFINITELY not going to be dealing with big heavy-duty problems. That's not my responsibility and I'm not trained for it, you're perfectly right. I'll rejig that bit and link to a page of links for young people such as the ones you mentioned.

Sorry about that! I promise the aim of the place isn't just for me to sort kids' problems out! Promise promise promise!

Thank you, thank you, for giving this a boot up the bum.

Kids just need somewhere they can hang out and talk about the latest teenage stuff that us 'oldies' (well semi-oldie! ) haven't a clue about.

Teens will definitely be referred to the YRG by me.

You are doing a great job there Kat!!!

If even just one kid in a bad state finds help through this, it's worth it. "Grown ups" like us sometimes forget kids just don't have the same acces to information we do. better now many kids have access to internet & mobile phones though.

My brain was quicker than my fingers, while my brain was at the end of the word, my fingers were still at the beginning well, that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.

My only problem now is a lack of members! It's very hard to keep convos going with only 6 people hanging around or something. Has anyone got any ideas of how to herd yoof?

Usually by telling them they can't go there!!

Speak nicely to the italics and ask if they will plug it on the frontpage - they have been promoting clubs recently.
