Since the Station by Station guide is too big to finish / keep up to date, I thought I'd throw some bits together and add some new research in, and I came up with this.
Any good?

Shows how long it is since I've used the tube. I'd be trying to get on or off at most of those stations
I'll read it properly later on, AA

Really good this, just spotted one typo on the first scan (too tired to read it through properly, sorry)
"In 1924, Stockwell station was completely rebuilt to the south of the original station, in preparation for the building of an extension of the Northern line between Clapham Common and Morden. The old surface building was later demolished to be replaced by a ventilation structure for the Victoria line during the late 1960's."
House style: 1960s.
Very good Alex

It reads a bit as if charing cross station has closed when its should be just one platform area...that might be worth adjusting, other than that good work!

I don't know that it's any actual use for the entry - probably not - but do you know this site?

As a side point, James Bond fetches up in an abandon tube station during Die Another Day. Is it one of these, or a fictious one? Can't remember.

Vauxhall Cross is a fictional station - the clue is that it's on the Picadilly line but south of the river - not a great clue really...
The filming took place at Aldwych *adds that detail*

Hi there!
I like this entry Good one.
Perhaps a mention of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere, which uses a pseudo-version of the London Underground, with a stop-off at British Museum? Or is that too sidetracky?

What's the current state of Morninton Crescent, which has been closed and reopened more times than I can remember?

AlexAshman Posted Oct 14, 2005
Erm... it's closed at the moment due to signalling problems, but it has only ever been closed for refurbishment, never due to abandonment. A bit like Queensway is at the moment.

By the way, we *really* do want to see the station-by-station guide finished and turned into Edited Guide entries. Might we be able to have a chat about that somewhere? We'll give as much support as we can because we really think it'll be of massive value.
Drop by my Personal Space if you fancy a chat about it.
