daywood? smiley - biggrin

it's interesting how many words are the same in english, german and danish (and dutch and a few others for that matter).

like house = haus = hus

yet there are others that are very very different

like butterfly = schmetterling = sommerfugl (directly it means summer bird)

in italian it's farfalle, in french it's papillon

the words don't seem to have anything at all in common - yet they mean exactly the same smiley - geek

kangalew oftimes Lew-- NEVER Louis!

Dag is a well known word in OZ. It refers to fecal matter tangled in the wool around a sheep,s backside. It is also used deragatorily to describe someone who is somewhat of an idiot without the excuse of being a moron. Not much used these days though as the younger generation prefer to use American insults.

Yes, you are right, I should have thought of that, but my mind took a two week tropical vacation three weeks ago, and won't be back until next week. smiley - smiley
