That could be taken any of several ways, Dragonfly.
It could mean he went to New-kids-R-us
and tried to find a suitable offspring
in the girls department.
Or, his daughter was attached to the cheesecake
(but he didn't realize this), so when he threw out
the cheesecake the daughter went with it.
There are other possibilities (some involving cloning)
that are too weird for me to mention here.
