h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

On the day of our latest fine publication, we're delighted to announce the appointment of two new volunteers to the Post Team. We're chuffed to bits to have them both on board, to be honest, and we do feel feel it's a bit of a coup to have two such well-known and respected members of the community with us.

Anyway, I don't have give them a big build-up now we've got them both ensnared. Let's crack on with the announcement, eh?

Eco Worrier has joined us as Features Editor. As she's an ex-Italic, we've been silently stalking her for a while, and we're delighted that she's joined us. She gives us a bit of gravitas, you know? Her copy-editing skills are second to none around here, and we're all really looking forward to working with her. Moreover, I know from first-hand experience that she makes an excellent cup of tea - a very handy skill to have in the imaginary Post Office.

We actually made a new post just to make room for Matt. He's joining us as our new Contents Editor, and we'll let you know exactly what that means when we've worked it out ourselves. You'll know him from around the community already, of course, but he's joined us to point out suitable articles and point Researchers in our direction if he feels they have something to contribute. You won't see him tweaking apostrophies too often, but I think he's the man to really help to take the Post forward.

I hope you'll make them both very welcome in their new jobs.

I should also thank everyone else who applied for the Post position, but when these two came along we felt that they were the perfect people to complete the team. We will remember your applications the next time a position arises.
