Saturday I finally managed to get a lie in (of sorts), but in terms of normal saturdays I was up early. I can't believe how much the weather changed overnight, from clear and cold the day before to warm and lashing down. I decided that while the 'rents go up and see my brother, I'd do a bit of wandering on my own first. As part of the Christmas gubbins, a winter craft market was running in the town centre, along with a very pricey outdoor icerink. After an hour of window shopping I headed back toward the Barbican and my real reasons for the time on my own...
...Three words...
Gin and tonic!
You cannot come to Plymouth and not visit the famous Blackfriars Distillery, home of the best gin in the whole wide world. Not only is the tour of the distillery informative about how they make my favourite tipple, but you gain an insight into its and the building's history. Oh yes and you get some free samples and a complementary g+t at the end made the PROPER way.
Also got an absolut bargain (pardon the pun, one of the key shareholders in Plymouth Gin also have Absolut vodka in their portfolio), a 1 litre bottle of export label Plym for less than the UK sold 70cl bottle thanks to it being on special offer and a discount for going on the tour. Woo!
Saturday evening was spent in a pasta bar on the Barbican, where we finally got to meet our Ian's inlaws. They're a nice enough bunch I guess.
And that's about it really. The journey up so far has been uneventful, a bit cold and foggy but uneventful. Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed again tonight, oh yes and a nice Plym & Tonic of course heehee! Back to work in the morn, wonder how much of the move is left to do?

Hmm, over 1000 words in just about 3 hours + breaks. Maybe I can apply myself to start writing h2g2 guide entries again.

Ah! Jynantonyx all round, I think! I'm still trying to find somehwere I can buy Absolut Peppar (makes THE best Bloody Marys). I did see it at Stockholm airport last year... but Sweden has this funny alcohol selling system which meant that I couldn't buy it 
Congrats to the bro.
Snoring - I have to say, ear plugs take a wee bit of getting used to, but they are dam effective!
And yes, I missed you

They had Absolut Peppar for sale in the Plymouth Gin shop, I believe they also have an online shop
